MAKE IT MONDAY #246: FAUX BRUSH LETTERING
I made this card for the MIM #246 using Amy's Faux brush lettering technique of water coloring on top of a stamped image to make it look hand painted. I used the largest sentiment by PTI I had available, make a wish, Think Big Favorites#1 , I stamped it in blue and painted teal on top, the contrast is better in person. I then made candles with PTI's the enclosed: star stamp set. I also tried Amy's technique on the flame with another shade of yellow. I masked off rectangles and blended the candle sticks. Amy made this technique look easy I had to correct some of my heavy hand with a white gel pen. Maybe I will have to get a larger more scripty font sentiment.
