PTI: Make It Monday #254
Hello again! I am here with the card I made for Papertrey Ink's current challenge, stenciling with texture paste. Ashley shows us a neat way to color texture paste while it is still wet in the stencil. I had a little difficultly doing it that way with the stencil I used, it is a sticky back reusable stencil great for ink blending, but not so good for texture paste. My 'paste', talc powder and Elmer's glue' stuck to the stencil, maybe if I had an acetate stencil it would have worked better. I didn't want to got to the craft store to buy either a new stencil or paste so this is what I came up with. I used a wreath stencil that came with a set of recollections Christmas stamps and put in a thin layer of paste. I let it dry slightly and then carefully removed the stencil. Most of the leaves came off but some remained. I just hide the boo boo's with the blue water color paint I put on top. I ink blended in a matching blue and cut a notch out after. The sentiment is PTI's birthday basics in silver emboss on a navy card stock. Thanks for stopping by!

Waffle Flower June Challenge
Hello everyone! Today I am here with a card I made for the Waffleflower June Challenge. The challenge is a photo inspiration color challenge. I loved this challenge! It forced me to use color combinations outside of my comfort zone but I love how it turned out. I use Waffleflower's Gemstone stamp set, momento inks, and gold heat embosses. Looks like I didn't get my post up in time :( I will leave up my post but I didn't enter the challenge.

Make it Monday Challenge #253 Reverse stenciling
Hello! Today I finished my PTI make it Monday Challenge #253. Betsy showed us a technique of inking up a stencil and then applying it to paper to get the reverse image. I only have 3 stencils that are reusable cling stencils, they came with some stamp sets I got at Michael's, Recollections I think. I picked this leafy one and thought green on craft would nice to try. I made the card an odd size to fit the stencil 4.25" by 6.25". The sentiment is PTI's think big favorites #9 in green heat emboss. The flowers are PTI's embroidered blooms. I had fun experimenting on this card. Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Camp Create day 4: Delightful Die Cutting
Hello I am here with this card for the MFT Camp Create Challenge. I am trying to win the $150 gift card by entering all 5 days of challenges but they are due today! This card I made with hexagonal dies and a cherry die. I used an embossing folder for the texture. If don't win the gift card at least I will get the badges ;).
MFT Camp create day 3: Wonderful Watercolor
Hello everyone I am here 'at' Camp Create and this is my creation for the wonderful watercolor challenge. I tried something new with watercolor paints with this card. I mix a little watercolor with some bubble solution and blew bubbles on a piece of white card stock. I saw it done with food coloring and bubbles and it made nice bubble rings on paper, but for whatever reason when I did it I just basically got splatter. The bubbles popped as soon as they hit the paper, but they were supposed to stick to the paper for a moment first and make a nice ring. So I worked with what I had and made this card. The elephant is Avery Elle water colored. and the sentiment is white gel pen via Cricut. The edge is black card stock with white heat embossing stripes.

Dos Challenge Card
Hello everyone! It has been awhile. We just got back from our trip to the Grand Tetons and Yellow Stone on Sunday, back to the Arizona heat :(. We had a wonderful time but it was good to be crafting again. I made this card for the CAS this sketch and the Camp Create: Glitzy Glitter challenge by My Favorite Things. I am super pumped about the camp, it is such a fun concept. I really hope I can do all 5 days and get those badges ;)! I used CAS-friday flower stamps and CAS-friday Smile die. The it's your day sentiment came from Waffleflower. I ink blended a yellow tag by masking off a section of my patterned paper with painter's tape and I used a larger piece of vellum as an overlay with the silver heat embossed sentiment. In person the vellum really softens the ink blended tag but in the photo the yellow really stands out, not sure why?
