MAKE IT MONDAY #249: MAKE IT WITH MONEY

Hello again! I made this card for PTI's  Make it Monday Challenge #249. Lexi came up with a fun idea to give origami money as a gift on the front of card and paper wallets for giving unfolded money as gift. I decided to go with the origami shirt that she folded in her video. I watch a 15 minute video of how to make a star wars fighter jet and decided a.)that's toooo hard and b.) it would be too thick for a card. c.) I think I would cry if the recipient unfolded it. OK, moving on..so I decided to make a cheeky Father's Day card instead using PTI's Enclosed: Star Stamp Set. I discovered that my Cricut explore can write with a standard ball point pen but I didn't like how all the fonts I had were double lined until...I discovered you can select single line font in the edit tab by changing the font selecting to 'has a writing style'. I feel kind of dumb never figuring this out before, I have made cards using the writing feature and I would 'color in' my double lined font and it never looked that great. So I am super excited I can make longer, more personal sentiments with this feature and there are at least two free fonts to pick from. I Cricut cut a star in my rectangle and then stamped PTI's star on an underlay paper, spacing it to match my cut star. I then foam mounted the cut out star piece on top. I fussy cut a basic tie shape in matching card stock and stamped the little star on the tie from the same PTI set. I think I will give this card to my father-in-law because I think he will appreciate the humor of my bad dad joke. Thanks for stopping by!
