Merry Monday #205 {Snow Globes}

Hi! Today I am entering a new-to-me card challenge that I think is just fabulous, Merry Monday: a Christmas Card Challenge. I think is a great way to get a head start on Christmas cards.  A card challenge is the best motivation when things are far from Christmasy. Their challenge for this week was snow globes and this was my take. I Cricut cut a diy snow globe for the white sections of the snow globe. I ink blended two shades of pink on a scrap of paper cut it out to fit the snow globe and sprinkled it with water. Once it was dry I heat embossed my sentiment with two powders, which I had never done before. It was less messy and less difficult than I thought. You just stamp once in embossing ink pour on on color in one general area, knock off excess and pour on other color on remaining un-embossed ink, heat set and that is it. I filled the shaker with red confetti snowflakes and pink and red seed beads. I made the background paper with some snowflake stamps stamped in one of the colors I used for the ink blending. Thanks for stopping by :}
